Edge Platform Engineer Intern

Help build the intelligence layer between signal and decision. As an intern, you will deploy real-time AI agents on edge computing devices ensuring critical field hardware detects risk and reasons through context when every second counts.

Required Skills & Experience

Practical knowledge of Python, Linux (Ubuntu), and Git.
Understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
Basic electronics: crimping, soldering, and multimeter use.
Mechanical assembly and hardware troubleshooting.

Nice to Have

Experience with drone builds (PX4, ArduPilot) or RC field Ops.
Interest in fire services, emergency response, or field robotics.
Relevant degree (Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering).
Active Remote Pilot License (RePL) is a major plus.

Location & Working Arrangement

The role is based at our field testing site in Paramatta, NSW. You will be expected to work onsite at least 2 days per week to support hardware integration and field trials.
